Description
Another iconic and timeless design by Carl Aubock that we’re proud to be retailing is this brass patina ashtray in a square shape. Having passed away in 1957 the Aubock factory in Vienna continues to reproduce his designs with remembrance to the contribution he made to the modernist movement.
The fourth generation workshop began creating objects in the style of this ashtray after Aubock spent time learning at the original Bauhaus in Weimar, working under master craftsman Johannes Itten. Although it’s designed for a smoker this could be used purely as a sculptural object within a studio or living area also.
